Mackenzie Spindler
Hi, I am Mackenzie Spindler. In 2010, I founded MIKISPIN in St. Louis, creating promotional campaigns and documenting recording artists. At 18, I moved to Europe to expand my artistic perspective and develop a portfolio that would eventually lead me to New York City in 2012, where I had the privilege of learning from influential figures in the art world. A career milestone was working at Andy Warhol’s former Factory on Wooster Street, collaborating with the Soho Arts Club—a unique experience that fueled my drive to push art beyond its conventional boundaries.
Working across various mediums like painting, film, photography, and metalworking, I’ve dedicated the past decade to showcasing my work in solo and group exhibitions throughout New York, in collaboration with icons like Patricia Field for Art Fashion, and in self-produced events at Art Basel Miami, LA Art Week, and Paris Fashion Week. Each of these experiences has shaped my perspective; now, wherever I go, I see potential for art in all spaces.
With Wet Paint Projects, I blend my artistic vision with a practical approach to interior design. Founded as an off-shoot of my art career, Wet Paint Projects allows me to bring an artist’s eye to the design and production of interior spaces, transforming residential and commercial projects with a unique aesthetic and attention to detail. From set designs for events to distinctive interiors, I approach each project as a canvas, creating spaces that bridge art and everyday life.
